FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Answer: Irene Farm is open daily from 07:00 to 18:00. Please note that if you are coming to walk around the property, the security will start asking people to leave at 17:40. We close the gate at 18:00 sharp. The Deli clients are still welcome up to 17:45. The restaurants and deli have specific operating hours. Please click on "Deli / Eateries" above for their individual operating hours.
Answer: Adults: R40 per person. Children under 12: R20 per child. Applicable on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Bookings for groups of 12 or more for picnics and other activities at Irene Farm will be exempt from the farm entrance fee. Bookings for groups of 6 or more at The Barn Restaurant will be exempt from the farm entrance fee.
Answer: Unfortunately, no outside food or beverages are not allowed on the property. The only exceptions are if you have booked a venue, but additional fees will apply for this. Please get in touch with us for details.
Answer: For the safety of our dairy cows, pets are unfortunately not permitted on Irene Farm premises. This is also why there are no other types of livestock on the property. Only authorized pets with Irene Farm tags are permitted, these are limited to pets residing on the property.
Answer: Yes, Irene Farm offers several venues, including The Barn, Farm View, Champion Field, Waters Edge, Cow Lane and The Cottage - perfect for hosting events. Please get in touch with us for the various options and prices.
Answer: Yes, but not all. Our restaurants provide options for various dietary needs, including vegetarian and gluten-free meals.
Answer: Yes, professional photography sessions must be pre-booked.

Answer: Yes, but ONLY if they are not helium filled balloons - only normal air. There are no exceptions. The balloons must not be allowed to float away, to protect the animals from potentially ingesting them which can be fatal.
Answer: Absolutely! Irene Farm features family-friendly activities, farm animals, play areas, and kid-friendly menu options. Please note, that we do not allow any form of sports on the farm grounds, without permission granted before hand.
